Obituary of Lena Darrigan

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lena Darrigan announce her passing on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Labrador West Medical Centre at the age of 71. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son, Roger (Dannette) Darrigan. Grandchildren: Mckenna and Ella Darrigan. Brother: Edward (Daphne) Pond. Sister: Anne (John) Darrigan. Sisters in law: Doris Sheppard, Marion (Claude) Christie, and Joan (Michael) Fields. Brothers in law: Raymond (Karen) Darrigan and Gary Darrigan. She also leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Lena was predeceased by her loving husband Roger Darrigan. As well as her father and mother, Harold & Audrey Pond, and father in law and mother in law, Maxwell and Christina Darrigan. In keeping with her wishes cremation has occurred and there will not be a service. Internment will take place in Lark Harbour, NL, at a later date. The family would like to thank the nurses and environmental services staff at the Labrador West Medical Centre for the wonderful care and compassion that was given during her short stay. Also, thank you to Deacon Rowena Payne and Rev. Effie Organ for their prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lena’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. She had a kind heart, loved to laugh, and was a true friend to many.
