Obituary of Tim McCann

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Timothy (Tim) McCann announce his passing, at the age of 77 years, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease, on November 17, 2023, at the Long Term Care Unit of the Labrador West Health Center. Tim was born and raised in Carbonear but had lived for the past 50 in Labrador City. Left to mourn are his daughters Denise (Glenn Hudson), Giselle (Dwayne Pike), and Joyce McCann; eight grandchildren Marcus Hudson, Makaila Hudson (Daniel Carter), Ethan Pike, Zayden Pike, Brian Pike, Jake Pike, Nigel McCann and Kallie Fagan; sister Theresa; brothers Augustus, Edgar, Michael, and George; family members Monica (Wince) Parsons, and Charlie Tan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins’ other relatives and friends. Tim was predeceased by his parents Michael McCann and Beatrice Sweeney; sister Ceceila; brothers Patrick and Patrick. The family would like to thank all the staff and volunteers of the Labrador West Health Center, as well as the environmental services, cafeteria, and kitchen staff, for all their kindness and support while Tim was a resident. Also, to the many community groups and musicians that take the time to visit with the residences in Long Term Care, and to Temple's Funeral Home for your help and kindness during this time. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the local Lion's Den group or can be given to the family to be donated to Long Term Care in Tim’s memory. Tim's wishes were to be cremated. A service will be announced in the comings week to celebrate his life.
