Obituary of Darryl Michael Dwyer

Darryl Michael Dwyer, age 52, passed away after a short battle with cancer at The Miller Centre in St. John’s, NL on February 8th, 2024. Darryl was born May 28th, 1971, in Labrador City, NL where he spent the majority of his life. Darryl leaves to mourn his wife Cavell (nee Wilmott) Dwyer; his stepchildren, Meghan (Martin) Flight, and Aaron Flight; his parents, Donald and Deborah (nee Duffy) Dwyer; his sisters Diana (Damon) Gillam and Danielle (Collin) King; his niece and nephew, Kate and Cole and his littlest niece, Sage. He also leaves behind his most beloved dogs, Gretzky and Piper, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember his love of music and his beautiful voice. Darryl was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Maria (nee Tucker) Dwyer; his maternal grandparents, Hugh and Regina (nee Cormier) Duffy; his uncles William and Dennis Dwyer, and his aunt Glenda (nee Duffy) Grady. Please join us in celebrating Darryl’s life with a service at the Anglican Church of Labrador City on Thursday, February 15th, 2024 at 2:00pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
