Lawrence has given me a boat ride out to my cabin on Shabogamo for almost twenty years now. I was truly shocked to arrive this year to learn that he had passed. He was so strong and vigorous, and the stories he could tell? He could make me laugh no matter how nervous I got when the waves got big. I will miss those boat rides, they were some of the most colorful of my life. Thank you, Lawrence, for the memories. Deepest sympathies to his friends and family. He will not be forgotten.
