My sincere sympathy to the family of Joan,
.My Dad joined the Iron Ore Co in 1962 and our family moved up in 1963..I remember Joan junior in High School . I was half way through grade 10, so only spent a short time actually living there, but for summers during my University years. However, I certainly remember Cyril and Joan . My parents, Lorne and Renee Snell, retired from there in 1983, and through them and since , I have heard wonderful stories of your Mom and her involvement as a volunteer in the community. What a legacy she has left for her family and for the community of Lab City. She has lived a long rich life, one to be celebrated.
Sending kindest thoughts as you grieve her loss.

Joan(Marie to me), Peggy,Paul, Joanne, John and your families, our thoughts are with you.
We were so glad to join the service for Aunt Joan from our home.
Although Aunt Joan is now with the angels, Gordon and I did see the Aunt Joan we knew when she was here for hip surgery. As John has told you Aunt Joan was in very little pain after the surgery and had us laughing and telling her to be good.
All sisters are now together again.
Love to you all, Jackie and Gordon

Sincere condolences to Peggy and all the Stamp family on the loss of this incredible woman.
I had the joy of meeting this lady last year when I travelled to Labrador to do rotational Nursing.
My sister Mary a friend of Mrs. Stamp asked me to look her up ,I did, we had lunch and what a joy to meet this lady wished I could have known her longer .Her energy and humor was just something to be desired.
God Bless you all- embrace those memories and hold them close to your heart.
Rest softly Joan- you still bring a smile to my face.

Joan was an amazing woman who brightened every room she graced. I always enjoyed spending time with her and snapping to attention for her when I was in uniform as I always called her Labrador’s Queen!
She was a special person who could tell a story with the best of them and always left you with a smile! Even now as we lament her passing, I smile for the joy she brought to all who were indeed fortunate enough to call her friend!
