Ches, Maresa and Matthew, I am saddened to hear of the passing of your matriarch, Marg. We spoke recently and the memories we shared filled my heard with joy and laughter. Marg was so friendly, loving and caring. I remember often seeing her in an apron serving you guys with love. Your mother always made me feel welcome and I cannot recall a time where she was not wearing a bright smile. My condolences to your family.

Ches, Mathew, and Moresa, Rosie and myself wish you our deepest condolences on this the saddest day possible to hear of Margaret passing, our first memory of Margaret was when we first arrived in Wabush and went to Pallegi’s Restaurant at the corner of Grenville and Whiteway Drive in January 1978 for supper and enjoyed meeting both of you and having a nice chat .
It sure helped us get over the home sickness we were feeling.
Margaret will be greatly missed, we are thinking of Margaret and you all at this extremely sad time. Stay strong.

Maresa my deepest condolences to you and all the family. Although I didn’t get to meet Ches in person while he was here in Calgary, I heard many great stories from Margie while she was here. We spend mornings together having tea, watching home improvement shows and working out with Leslie Samsones walk videos. We had many a good laughs and silly times. I will miss your stories from the old days and your laughter.

Dearest Ches, Maresa and Mathew, we are so deeply sorry to hear of Margie’s passing. My goodness what an incredibly beautiful woman she was. Her smile would light up the room and we are so grateful we had the privilege of getting to know her during her time out west. The pain of her loss is deeply felt here in Calgary. She was an absolute treasure who saw the beauty in everything. Even a cup of tea and a visit filled her wth pure joy. Hold your memories close in the days and months ahead, they will bring you comfort. We will never forget Margie and will speak of her often.

Margaret, my heart is broken that you have been ripped from our lives and arms far too soon. Never again will I get to hear your voice. I will always cherish the time Dianne and I shared with you here in Calgary as you continued your health journey. We were desperate for good news but it was not to be.No brother could have been blessed with a better sister, you were always gentle and always looked out for us. And yes, you could give us heck when we deserved it. And what fun we all had blueberry picking or going to the regatta as kids! I will always remember that no matter what we talked about there was never judgement but always love and concern. By the way, no one was more surprised than me that you always laughed at my jokes, no matter how dumb! I don’t know if Mom and Dad could have made it without you. You were the jewel in their crown, a constant support and their biggest fan. I’m sure you knew the special place you had in their hearts but just in case, know that you were adored.
Ches, I know your world has come crashing down. Know that you are loved and we are here for you. I have been doubly blessed to have both you and Jerome as brothers-in-law and I know how proud our parents were of you both. Maresa and Matthew, I know what a terrible loss this is for the both of you. We grow up thinking our parents will always be there, until suddenly they aren’t. Take the time you need to grieve in you own way, but remember your Dad needs you both now more than ever.
Marg, there is so much more I could say but it’s not the same if you can’t be here to listen. I have to go know because the tears and sorrow are just too much. Till we meet again. Warrick.

Gene and I would like to send our sincere condolences to Ches, Marissa, Mathew and families at this time! I have fond memories of Marg especially the years that she substituted in AP Low. She would bring very healthy but delicious lunches which she would love to share. Her beautiful smile was infectious. She was the most delightful neighbor anyone could every ask for. My most fond memory of her will always be going out on my back step on a nice day and see her in the back yard singing and playing with the chickens. Hearing her sing always put me in a better mood.

My dearest sister Margaret I was not ready for you to leave us so soon. It came as a shock when I received the call. As I write this note to you Ches, Maresa and Matthew my heart is heavy with pain and sadness. I don’t think my tears will stop flowing. I remember so many great times with you when I was a child. Going to the beach or Southern Pond with you and Ches. You taking us shopping for new clothes and a treat at Woolworths. You being my Grade 1 teacher. You taught me so many things throughout my life. Teaching me how to dance on a Saturday afternoon. I talked to you every day until the disease prevented you from carrying on a conversation. I love you with all my heart and soul. I remember us talking about about growing old together and reaching 100. I am now left to walk that path alone. How am I to manage without you by my side. I see you everywhere and hear your voice. It is a comfort to me. So for now I will say so long until we meet again. All my love Dianne

Ches and family. Derm and I were shocked to read of Marg’s passing. We have such great memories of times spent at Moosehead Lake. Marg as a kind and gentle person who made the best eggnog. She had lots of patience as she never knew what Ches would have in the basement - a truck or skidoo motor or caribou sides. May your memories carry you through this difficult time. Take care
